  • You are solely responsible for the configuration and management of your SSL/TLS certificates and infrastructure.

8. Subscription and Billing

  • CertShield is currently free during early access. All features are available at no cost while the product is in its early access phase.
  • When paid plans are introduced, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice to the email address associated with your account. You will not be charged without explicit opt-in to a paid plan.
  • If paid plans are introduced, billing will be handled via Stripe. All fees will be exclusive of applicable taxes, which are your responsibility.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Anchor Apps LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Certificate monitoring alerts and automation suggestions are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed to prevent certificate expirations or outages.
  • We are not responsible for any damages resulting from certificate expirations, misconfigurations, or infrastructure outages.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that certificate monitoring will detect all issues or prevent all outages. The Service depends on third-party platforms and infrastructure whose availability and performance are outside our control.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet or infrastructure failures, third-party service outages, cyberattacks, pandemics, or labor disputes.

13. Termination

  • You may delete your account and terminate your use of the Service at any time.
  • We may immediately suspend or terminate accounts engaged in fraud, illegal activity, or actions that threaten the security or integrity of the Service.
  • For other violations of these Terms, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure before terminating your account, unless repeated violations make this impractical.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice via email before any material changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
